This is my last post for awhile, as I'm off to Switzerland on Thursday! But here's some more photos recovered from Steph & Mickel's camera ... plus a few older favs.

4th of July Weekend Photos

>

As I mentioned before, Steph & Mickel's computer equipment (and thus their picture-transfer capabilities) was buried in the garage. I guess they got a bit tired of waiting for the house move, and so they dug it out. So here's some of the photos from the weekend of July 4.

A Night With The Beatles

Steph and I went to a Utah Symphony concert at Deer Valley featuring works by the Beatles. What we didn't realize was that they would actually have a "Fab Four" to perform the songs, backed up by the Symphony. Though it rained for most of the show, we were quite comfortable in the chair section, with an umbrella and a blanket. It was a lot of fun!

Nash Landon Riddle

Kara had a 4th of July baby - Nash Landon Riddle. We went to visit on Sunday. It's amazing how big Teague was in comparison, though they were about the same size when they were born (Teague's 3 weeks older). Johnny says they even grunt the same! Marina seems to be handling the older sister role pretty well.

July 4th Weekend

>Well, I don't have all the pictures I would like to post. Steph & Mickel took some of them, but they need their computer to download, and the computer is buried in my garage.

The weekend started on Thursday, with a visit from Kris' babies, Dora and Lilo, for the weekend. Add two dogs (both pretty excitable in their own way) to a 22 month old curious girl, and chaos ensues. By the time I made it home from work on Thursday, things were off to a rough start. But soon Kaiya was enthralled with "Dolo" and "Lilo" (she can say that one pretty well). Kris and Sterling were in St. George for the weekend, having some July 4th fun with his brother and family. Here's a great picture of our Princess Warrior.

We took Kaiya and Teague to the West Jordan parade on the 4th. I've never been to it, though I've lived in West Jordan for 16 years. It's pretty "podunk" but probably about right for Kaiya, plus we got pretty good seats! Steph & Mickel watched fireworks from Wasatch Blvd., but I passed so I could get some work done.

On Sunday, we had a surprise 30th birthday party for Sterling. Perhaps he was just hiding it well, but he did seem surprised! As I told him, 30 is the new 20 (actually, I told him it was the new 15, but I don't know if any of us would want to be 15 again ... really).
